Day 01 Arrive Kolkata
Arrive at Kolkata international airport where you will be met and greeted by our representative and escorted to your hotel in the city for the overnight.

Day 02 Kolkata
In the morning visit the flower market near the Howrah bridge and then see the government buildings notably the Writers building, Governers residence etc… also view the Rabindra Setu: a cantilever bridge across the river Hoogly. Today visit the Indian museum with an ornate collection of artifacts. Also visit Kumartuli where the artisans make idols for several festivities prevalent in the north eastern parts of India.

Day 03 Kolkata – Bhubaneswar (by train)
Morning is at leisure. Later in the day board your superfast train to Bhubaneswar. Upon arrival check into your hotel.

Day 04 Bhubaneswar
After breakfast at your hotel leave for a full day excursion to the weavers’ village at Nuapatna and dokra casting village at Sadeibarini. Overnight at Bhubaneswar.

Day 05 Bhubaneswar
In the morning visit the temple town of Bhubaneswar including a visit to Rajarani temple and the Lingaraj temple. Rest of the day is free to relax

Day 06 Bhubaneswar – Baliguda
In the morning drive towards Khandagiri and Udaigiri caves and some tribal villages and talking to the Koundh tribes. This is your first introduction to the Oriya Tribes. Overnight at Baliguda.

Day 07 Baliguda – Rayagada
After breakfast at your hotel drive to Raygada visiting the Kotgarh market of Kutia Kondh tribes enroute. Overnight at Raygada.<

Day 08 Rayagada – Jeypore
Drive to Jeypore visiting Dongariya Kondh Tribal Market at Chatikona. Overnight at Jeypore.

Must be a Wednesday

Day 08 Jeypore
Excursion to Onukadoli to visit the most colorful Bonda, Gadaba & Didayi tribes and some Gadaba villages. Overnight at Jeypore.

Day 09 Jeypore – Taptapani
Drive to Taptapani and enroute visit the Paraja tribes market

Must be a Friday

Day 10 Taptapani – Raipur
Leave for Puri and upon arrival check into your hotel and relax.

Day 11 Raipur – Kawardha
Today drive 120 km to the former Princely State of Kawardha. Familiarise yourself with the Palace Kawardha and nearby cultural sites, including the captivating Bhoramdeo temple complex. In the evening a welcome drink is hosted by the royal family.

Day 12 Kawardha – Raipur – Kanker
The morning leave for the former princely State of Kanker. Sightseeing and overnight at Kanker Palace.

Day 13  Kanker – Kondagaon – Narayanpur – Jagdalpur
Drive to Jagdalpur. You will encounter here the special nature of North Bastar with a visit to a colourful weekly market. It gives you a great opportunity to meet the local people. At Kondagaon discover some of Bastar’s finest handicrafts, and the people who make them. Enjoy dance by youthful members of Bastar’s unique ‘ghotul’ dormitory system.

Day 14 Jagdalpur – Chitrakote Falls
Today you will also visit some of the local Bison-Horn Maria tribe, renowned for their spectacular ceremonial dancing. You will be entertained by a performance of the tribal people, returning to your hotel

Day 15 Jagdalpur – Kanger Valley National Park – Jagdalpur
Visit the rich forests of the Kanger Valley National Park, the enchanting Tirathgarh waterfall and the extraordinary stalactite and stalagmite caves. Kanger retains the original intensity of the forests that once covered this whole region. Here too are forest tribal people in their natural habitat. There will be time also to explore some of Jagdalpur’s unique handicrafts before dinner at the hotel.

Day 16 Jagdalpur – Raipur
Drive to Raipur. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 17 Raipur – Kolkata – departure
Departure transfer to Raipur airport for flight to Kolkata. Upon will meet yon arrival you will be escorted to a local restaurant for a farewell dinner where your Tour Manager for a tour debrief.
